Alamo Rec Vehicle Park is a great place to spend the winter in South Texas. The park offers full hook-ups, a nice pool and hot tub, shuffleboard, dinners, dancing, and excellent music. There are block parties and card games every night, and the nearby lake offers great fishing opportunities for bass and crappie. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the community is welcoming and supportive. South Padre Island is also nearby and worth a visit. Power is affordable, and the park is excellently maintained. There is no pull-thru, but the park offers plenty of room for big rigs. The Halloween golf cart parade was a highlight, and the shrine in San Juan is only 2 miles away.
