From The Campground

Denison Damsite Campground is located on the Red River along the Texas-Oklahoma border on the Texas side of the spillway. The campsites are within walking distance of the Red River. Campgrounds offer showers, rest rooms, dump stations, group shelter, fishing docks and frost free faucets. The Striper fishing in the “River” has produced some monster catches with reports of 30+ pound catches. Beautiful bluebonnets blanket the area in spring and the Denison Dam Site is a popular spot for nature and wildlife photographers. Lake Texoma is a flood control reservoir, providing hydroelectric energy and municipal water supply to a large section of North Texas.
