River Valley RV Park is a great option for travelers looking for a place to park their RV and just stay for the night. Located in the outback area of Texas, this campground offers full hookup sites with 30 amp, water, and sewer. All sites are pull-thrus that can accommodate large rigs with a tow. The sites are in a flat, grassy/gravel field behind the motel, next to an old cracked and run down tennis court. Payment must be made at the Phillips truck stop office. Unfortunately, the restrooms are pad locked and the RV grounds are poorly maintained. Despite its rundown condition, the campground offers a great value for $10 a night with Passport America. There is also a truck stop nearby with a great chicken fried steak at a very good price. Highway noise may be a factor, but with double insulated windows and a/c fan running, travelers can get a good nights sleep.
