The campground is located in a beautiful area of the state, close to Fredericksburg, and is surrounded by a golf course, rodeo arena, and baseball fields. The sites have concrete picnic tables, grassy areas, and are nestled among pecan and live oak trees for plenty of shade in the summer. The campground offers full hookups, good water pressure, and 50 amp service. The restrooms, showers, and laundry are clean, if dated. The campground hosts, Corky and Brenda, are very friendly and knowledgeable about local activities. There is a big rut by the baths, but the roads and gravel pads are level. The only downside is that there is a dog in a private residence adjacent to the park that barks incessantly. The price might seem a little steep for a city park, but it is well worth it for the great setting and amenities.
