The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere where everyone is happy to help, and the resort itself is extremely clean and well laid out. While some guests have noted that it is a little pricier than other parks, they agree that the location is unbeatable: within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and convenient to the beach and birding. Guests have also appreciated the small doggie area, nice pool, showers and restrooms that are all kept clean. While the spaces are closer together and theres not much shade or landscaping, this is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Port Aransas.

LaFitte’s Hideout RV Resort is located in Port Aransas, Texas, on beautiful Mustang Island. The resort is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Corpus Christi and roughly three hours from San Antonio. We are situated on a secluded seven acres, deep in the heart of the island, a walk or a golf cart ride away from all that Port Aransas has to offer. At LaFitte’s, you are within walking distance to great restaurants, nightlife, and a short golf cart ride to the beach. Named after the real pirate/smuggler James LaFitte, LaFitte’s Hideout RV Resort is on seven acres in Port Aransas and nestled on the secluded Mustang Island. It’s located about 30 minutes from downtown Corpus Christi, and about three hours from San Antonio and is considered by many as the “Best RV Resort” on the island. Maybe it’s because it’s the closest RV resort to the marina, with about a two-block commute from the ferry landing. Or because when you stay at LaFitte’s, you’re close to great restaurants, lively nightlife, and the lovely Port Aransas beach. There’s plenty to do and see in nearby cities, too, via walking, or hopping on a golf cart while exploring Port Aransas aka “Port A” has to offer. Sounds like a dream, right? It’s all waiting for you at LaFitte’s; you just need to book a reservation, pack up your brood (pets welcome, too), and hit the road.
