Van Horn RV Park is a conveniently located and affordable option for travelers passing through the Chihuahua Desert on I-10. The park offers level gravel sites with good hook-ups and moderately fast internet. The cable TV channels leave much to be desired, but the friendly and conscientious staff make up for it. The wind can be an issue, so awnings are not recommended. Although the roads are bumpy and there are no trees due to the desert location, the park is well-maintained and quiet, with people constantly cleaning up. Its a great base camp for exploring the surrounding area, including Guadalupe Mountain National Park. There are a couple of truck stops and restaurants nearby, and a grocery store for essential items. If paying cash, there is a $40 discount available.
