Castaways RV Park and Campground is a large 202-site campground located near Lake Conroe in Texas. It offers full hookups and a variety of sites, including shaded sites, concrete pads, and dirt sites with gravel. The park has recently undergone some improvements, including the addition of concrete pads in some sites, a beautiful new outdoor pavilion, and a large pool with two water slides. The roads in the park are in bad shape, often rutted and narrow, and the sites are unlevel and difficult to access. There are also several large ditches and holes between campsites. The bathrooms near the sites are clean, but rough, and the laundry room has only half the washers and dryers working. The park offers a church service and No Alcohol in the Clubhouse signs, but no campfire area. Verizon cell coverage is good, and satellite TV is easy to connect. Membership is available, but non-members are welcome at the published rate. However, they are required to hear a 60-90 minute presentation about the benefits of membership.

Water’s Edge on Lake Conroe RV Resort is located on the shores of Lake Conroe featuring lake view cabin rentals and back-in RV lot rentals. Amenities include a pool, playground and dog park! We also offer extended stay RV lot rental. Lake Conroe is a 22,000-acre lake with 157 miles of shoreline and wooded areas including a portion of the Sam Houston National Forest, this area is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream.
