Alaskan RV Park is a no-frills campground conveniently located off of I-10 at Exit 366 near Bowie. The park offers affordable RV sites at $20/night, as well as a dump station and water refill based on tank size (not more than $20). The park is handicap accessible and pet friendly. It is the site of the Sideman Jamboree each year and hopes to bring music back to the stage in the future. The sites are large gravel/dirt lots with hook ups, and there is a good Verizon signal and clean restroom. The park is cash only but has good cell service. The owner is a 90 year old widow lady who was a country music entertainer in her day, and is talkative and friendly. She likes dogs, so the park is pet friendly. It is a great place for an overnight stop, with pull thrus, FHU sites, and Linda, the friendly staff, who will meet you at the entrance and give you the run down about the RV Park. There are no trees, wi-fi, or cable TV, but it is a cheap place to stay with electric, water, and sewer connections.

They offer full hook-ups for nightly, weekly, or monthly stays, as well as spots for those who prefer to boondock. The park is handicap accessible and has showers and laundry facilities. Guests can also join in on some acoustic guitar picking and singing in 'The Barn'. The hostesses are known for their kindness and willingness to help guests out. The campground has received positive reviews for its customer service, affordable prices, and interesting hosts.
