From The Campground

Powell Springs Campground is a historic campground built by the CCC, located in Prescott National Forest. It is flanked by Hackberry Wash, a seasonal creek, and surrounded by ponderosa pines that provide shade. The campground offers 11 campsites, 12 picnic tables, 2 fireplaces, 9 fire pits, and 11 pedestal grills. There is no drinking water or garbage service, so visitors are advised to pack it out. The campground is open year-round and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Dogs must be on a leash, and OHV/ATV use is prohibited in the campground.
