What others are saying about this campground
Clifton Campground is a great place to get away and relax. Nestled in a valley along the San Francisco River, the campground is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rock formations, and you might even spot some bighorn sheep. The main road into Clifton is steep, so be prepared for that. Unfortunately, there is no WiFi or T-Mobile connectivity, though the campground is working on getting it repaired. The sites are mostly quiet, though some are located on a busy street. There are full hookups, but no level of standards for the rigs that can stay there. The park is clean and well maintained, and the on-site staff are friendly and helpful. There are a few shops and attractions in the area, and the Mexican food is cheap and good. The campground also offers Passport America discounts for unlimited stays. There is also some heresay of shady crime and drug activity in the area due to the local cartel influence. If youre driving a large rig, make sure to take the Clifton to Silver City route as the road is narrow with over 400 turns. All in all, Clifton Campground is a great place to stay for a few days and relax.
