From The Campground

Strayhorse Campground is located in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, just six miles below the Mogollon Rim. The campground is set among large ponderosa pine and Gambel oak, providing a cool shady site for picnics or camping. There are 7 family units for tents, trailers, and motorhomes up to 16 feet. The campground is available on a first-come-first-serve basis and there is no fee to camp. Water is shut off and there are no trash disposal services. Drinking water is available seasonally. Strayhorse is the trailhead for two major trails: Highline Trail #47 follows the bottom of the Mogollon Rim and Raspberry Trail #35 provides access into the Blue Range Primitive Area.
