This campground is located in a beautiful setting, bordering on a National Forest and surrounded by pine trees. Each site is spacious and level and has hookups, with the added bonus of backing up to a protected forest area. The infrastructure is a bit old, so the electric can be iffy if many people turn on their air conditioning at once. The water pressure is good, however, and the Wi-Fi is spotty. There is a small cafe with a service station and convenience store within a mile, as well as the Happy Jack Lodge which has a restaurant and convenience store open on the weekends. The campground is quiet and peaceful, with weekly activities such as Card Bingo and Potlucks. The camp host is quite controlling, and there is a fee for a second vehicle. The elevation is 7,000, making it a great spot to escape the heat in Phoenix.
