Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort in Cottonwood, AZ is a beautiful and natural site near town and stores, just 30 minutes from Sedona. The staff is wonderful and the guys at the gate are especially friendly. The nature trails, including river access, are great for exploring. Guests can enjoy two activity centers, mini golf, a pool and hot tub (only open in season), 2 dog parks, one of which is the biggest ever seen at a campground, as well as RC car and plane tracks/runway, pool and ping pong facilities, and propane fill onsite. The park is relatively quiet, making it a great place for relaxation. The sites are well-maintained and generally pretty level. Most retail spots are 30 AMP, while sites in the campground can be tight and have somewhat limited cell service. Verizon reception can be iffy but AT&T signal is generally good. Guests should keep in mind that the park is located in the desert so some sites may not have much grass, and there may be goat heads to watch out for.
