What others are saying
Ashurst Lake is a beautiful campground located 20 miles from Flagstaff, Arizona. It offers a variety of camping experiences, from semi-private campsites to dispersed camping. The lake is mesmerizingly blue and perfect for kayaking and fishing. The campground is small but offers a few amenities such as a firepit, picnic table, port-a-potty, and a water tank. The road in is usually passable without a 4x4, but its best to be prepared for a bumpy ride. The campground can get quite busy during holiday weekends, but it is still a peaceful and quiet place to enjoy nature. There are no swimming facilities, but the stars at night are worth the visit. The campground is a bit pricey at $20 a night, but it is worth it for the serene atmosphere and close proximity to the lake.
