Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater and Wapataki ruins are all nearby, and the campground hosts are friendly and helpful with advice about what to do in the area. The park is well maintained and very quiet, with no cable TV or laundry facilities, but Wi-Fi is available for a fee. There are no washrooms or showers, and the sites are close together, but they are wide enough to fit a 40 foot motorhome. The park has a septic system, so use of a coach washing machine is forbidden. The park manager is nice and friendly and the staff at check-in are helpful.
