This campground is situated in NE Arizona, offering a beautiful setting in the tall pines and plenty of shade. It has spacious sites with picnic tables and fire pits, as well as shared spigots and vaulted toilets in each loop. There are several lakes nearby, stocked with trout year round, and a local general store just a few minutes drive away. The campground accommodates around 100 vehicles, and offers amenities such as flushing toilets with hot showers and a fresh water spigot with a hose receptacle. There is limited cell service, but you can drive or hike across the street to the reservoir area to get a small signal to make calls or receive texts and emails. National Access Pass holders camp for 1/2 the rate. Quiet time is 10 pm, so bring warm clothes and blankets. Be aware that there are no fuel stations, large food stores, or urban amenities nearby, and the roads are dirt, so you may be inundated with dust and flies.

Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground is a popular family and senior-friendly campground located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. The campground offers 91 camping units for tents and RVs up to 32 feet. Amenities include picnic tables, vault toilets, potable water, and a shower facility. The Little Colorado River and Greer Lakes are within walking distance for avid anglers. Visitors should be prepared for rain, often heavy, through July and August. Expect cool to cold nighttime temperatures. The campground is open from May to October and offers discounts for interagency/senior visitors. Gas, groceries, restaurants, and equipment rental are available in Greer.
