This campground is a secluded paradise tucked away in a dense ponderosa pine forest. With only 16 campsites, each one is spacious and private, perfect for setting up a tent or hammock and enjoying the stars. There is no hookup, but the sites are clean and well-maintained, with bear proof dumpsters, clean vault toilets, and drinking water for jugs available. Wildlife roam the area, including deer, elk, wild horses, and black bears. Nearby, a general store, gas station, and restaurants provide all the necessities. The lake is a short drive away, and though it is rarely stocked, it is a beautiful sight. The camp host is friendly and helpful, and the area is full of activities and places to explore. Be aware that there can be a lot of people, and the lake is sometimes littered with trash.
