From The Campground
Ramsey Vista Campground is located in the Coronado National Forest and offers eight first-come, first-served campsites among medium-sized ponderosa pines. The campground is situated at an elevation of 7,400 feet and provides spectacular views of Ramsey Peak, Carr Peak, Carr Canyon, the town of Sierra Vista, and the San Pedro Valley. The campground is a perfect destination for hiking and exploring the historic mining area. Amenities include picnic tables, vault toilets, and garbage bins. Trailer camping is limited to 12 feet and less, and pets must be kept on a leash at all times. The campground is open from April through November and is closed from December 15 to March 15. The fee for a single site is $15, and with an Interagency Access or Interagency Senior pass, the fee is $7.50. Longer trailers and motor homes cannot negotiate the switchbacks on Carr Canyon Road. Horse camping is not permitted in the campground. Reviews mention the beautiful views, peaceful atmosphere, and clean facilities.
