What others are saying
Hualapai Mountain Park is a large recreation area in Mohave County, Arizona, set in the stunning mountains and surrounded by mature pine trees and huge granite boulders. It is a great place to escape the summer heat of the desert and enjoy the cool air, with plenty of trails to explore and a wide range of camping options. Tent camping sites are scattered throughout the park, or you can rent a cabin or even a teepee. There are also RV sites with hook-ups and a few porta-potties. Firewood and ice are available at the check-in station, and fees are reasonable at $17.00 a night for camping. Wildlife is abundant, with deer and elk roaming the area, particularly in the mornings. There are also lots of birds and squirrels. Unfortunately, due to the extreme dry weather and fire hazard, no campfires are allowed. The sites are quite close together, so you may not have much privacy, but the views are stunning and the air is fresh. Verizon phone and Mifi work fine, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
