This campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful and scenic getaway. Located in a beautiful forest with huge Ponderosa Pines, the campsites are clean, level, and shaded. The sites have fire rings, picnic tables, and are decently dispersed for privacy. There are also immaculate bathrooms with flush toilets, dish cleaning stations, and a general store just a few hundred feet from campsites with groceries and camping supplies. The campground also has a lodge and cabins to the North rim with star parties at night with NASA talks and dozens of telescopes for viewing the cosmos. The scenic 23-mile drive along the canyon offers pull-offs and short, paved trails to breathtaking sights. There are no railings, so caution is advised. There are also gas stations, a general store, laundry, and showers. This is a great spot for car camping and is perfect for those looking to hone their boon docking skills.
