What others are saying
The scenery is breathtaking and the stars at night are amazing due to the lack of light pollution. Beach is a boondocking campground located on the Utah border, about 1/2 mile off of Highway 89. It is managed by the National Park Service and accepts all of the different types of America the Beautiful passes. There is a garbage dumpster, RV dump, and some pit toilets. The campground is great for exploring the Glen Canyon NRA, and offers stunning views of the lake and mountains. There is a parking area for large rigs up on the hill near the dump station, and you can drive your rig down to the beach if you like, although it is sand and there is always a chance you can get stuck. There is no potable water, so you must fill your tanks before arrival. There are no designated sites so someone can pull up within 5 feet of you and throw their stuff right in front of your door. The stars at night are amazing due to the lack of light pollution, and the sunrise over the canyon and lake is breathtaking. Generators are only allowed until 10pm. There is a 15 minute drive to town and you are in Utahs time zone.
