La Paz County Park is a great destination for campers looking for a peaceful getaway near the Colorado River. The park is located in Parker, Arizona and offers tent camping, RV sites with electric and water hookups, and dry camping spots. The sites that back into the water are only for rigs with generators and/or solar power, but they offer spectacular views of the river. There are paved sidewalks along the river and grassy areas, as well as a restaurant on the premises. The park is usually booked on Fridays and Saturdays in the winter due to a large swap meet. There are drinking establishments at both ends of the campground, and plenty of golf cart traffic. The park is not well maintained, but the customer service is good and the rates are very reasonable. Verizon service is spotty, but the park offers wifi. There is no septic at the site due to its proximity to the river, but a truck comes in once a week to empty tanks. The park is not bikeable to town, but it is a great place to explore the surrounding parks and Lake Havasu area.
