What others are saying about this campground
Knoll Lake Campground is a great spot for camping, located a short distance away from the lake. The campsite is secluded and offers great hiking and mountain biking opportunities. The terrain is quite rugged, so a 4x4 or truck is recommended. The lake is beautiful and there are plenty of dispersed camping spots around the area. There is no cell service and the area is very quiet, making it a great spot to get away from it all. The drive in is bumpy and takes about 40 minutes, but it is worth it. At night, you can hear the coyotes and elk bugling. The lake is within walking distance and there is lots of fish. There are designated areas for tents and the bathrooms are cleaner than most restaurants. Visitors may encounter elk and deer, and parking can be full in the summer. Be sure to bring your own drinking water, as the water at the campground is not suitable for drinking unless boiled. Trash can be an issue, so be sure to take all your waste and trash with you, and even clean up some left behind by others.
