What others are saying
Burnt Corral Campground is a great oasis in the middle of the Superstition Mountains, located 6.5 miles from Roosevelt Dam. The campground is medium-sized and offers lovely sites along the water and along the hill in the trees for $12 per night. The dirt road leading to the campground is narrow, winding, and mountainous, and is not suitable for large trailers, but smaller cars can manage it fine. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, a boat ramp, drinking water, vault toilets, and group sites. The campground is great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and boating, and bird life abounds in both the lake and river. There is no cell phone service, but it is nice to be off the grid. Be aware of the flies and mosquitoes, and the roads can be bumpy. It is a great spot for a quick weekend getaway.
