What others are saying about this campground
Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area in Show Low, AZ is a beautiful campground with tall trees and a stunning lake view perfect for RV camping enthusiasts. The campground offers full hook-ups and spacious concrete pads with a table and fire pit at every site. The park is well-maintained, and the sites are cleaned and raked before each arrival. The campground offers side-by-side campsites for pairs of families camping together, and some are offset to provide more space. There are easy-to-walk trails around the park, and its far enough from Show Low for a peaceful nature retreat and yet convenient enough for shopping for necessities. Although some people have complained about the internet, the Verizon jetpack worked well for basic email communication. This place books up quickly at least a year in advance, so book early to get your spot. The parks combination toilet and shower facilities were a little strange, with single lockable open shower rooms and no seats or shelving. There were only two hooks to hang your stuff, and the actual shower was a little nook that was open to the room. The water came out so strong that it could be painful and not warm enough. Despite the shower experience, the parks beautiful surroundings and amenities make it an excellent place to camp, and visitors say theyll definitely return.
