Juniper Ridge is a large, ownership-oriented resort located in the White Mountains, about 10 miles from Show Low. The resort offers a wide variety of amenities, including an 18-hole executive golf course, fishing lake, clubs, court sports, card games, crafts, weekly dances to live music, and a pool/spa. The summer weather is warm during the day with temperatures in the upper 80s and cool at night, with temperatures in the mid 50s. The resort is located a 15-minute drive from Show Low, which offers plenty of shopping and food. The RV sites are located in a separate area from the park models, and feature a small cement patio surrounded by red lava rock. The sites are long and narrow, with rigs alternating directions. The resort also offers two large grassy dog runs and plans for a larger off-leash area at the other side of the park. There is no trash pickup, so visitors must cart their trash a good distance. The resort also offers a large heated pool with water aerobics five days a week, exercise classes, bowling group, card players, motorcycle and bicycle rides. Memorial Day activities included a red white and blue parade through the park ending in a flag ceremony and a country style pot luck in the afternoon.
