What others are saying about this campground
Lyman Lake State Park in St Johns, AZ, is a quiet and well-maintained campground. Although some facilities are a bit dated, they are clean and in good shape. The lake is beautiful, and the sites are spacious, equipped with a firepower, BBQ, picnic table, and shelter. The campgrounds are quiet, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The park offers lovely hiking trails, and the Petroglyph trail has a stunning view of the lake and the campground. The Tundra Swan on the lake is a delightful sight to see. You can find tents, trailers, and cabins available on the site, all with well-maintained facilities. One thing to note is that there is no potable water currently available. However, this was clearly stated on the website, so plan accordingly. While some water testing came back unsafe and the employees had to shut off the water, the park refunded the affected campers, and signage was posted on the website. Despite this issue, the park was still a great place to camp, with friendly rangers and large, not too crowded sites; it is worth a visit.
