What others are saying
The campground offers a great opportunity to explore the lake and its surrounding area. With the boat ramp located at the front of the campground, campers can enjoy fishing, boating, and other water activities. The campsites are fairly close together, providing limited privacy, but each spot has a covered table and fire ring. There is running water and flush toilets in the bathrooms, and showers are also available. Service is spotty in Loop Cane, but you can reserve all odd numbered campsites online. This is a great place to have a small or large group of people, and is the best camping at Roosevelt as long as the water isn’t too high.

From The Campground
Cholla Campground is located on Theodore Roosevelt Lake, central Arizona’s largest lake. It offers expansive views of the Four Peaks Wilderness, Salome Canyon, and the Sierra Ancha mountain range. The campground contains an extensive selection of both RV and tent-only sites, and is one of the largest solar-powered campgrounds in the United States. Potable water, toilet buildings, showers, playgrounds, and a paved boat launch with a courtesy dock are available for campers. Cholla RV dump station, located across from Christmas Loop, is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
