Canyon Lake Marina is a great waterfront RV park located off Arizona Route 88, just before the settlement of Tortilla Flat. It offers fabulous views of the lake and surrounding hills, covered with cactus and other desert vegetation. There are a few pull-through sites, but most are basic parking lot camping. Unfortunately, there are no sewer hookups or dump stations, but there is a pump-out service available for $20. The park is quite popular, and rates are high at $65/day. There is no wifi or cell service, but there is slow Verizon voice and mail service. The road into Canyon Lake is winding and narrow, but can be navigated with a big rig. There is a large grassy area between the trailers and the lake, which is great for playing games or just spreading out. However, there can be a lot of daytime traffic noise and jet skis and power boats on the lake. There is a small store and restaurant within walking distance at Tortilla Flat. For those looking for a more relaxed spot, Lake Pleasant Regional Park is a better option.
