Catalina State Park is a vast and well-maintained park located at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, just north of Tucson. It features spacious and level campsites with 50 amp, water, grill, picnic table, and a 71 paved surface, as well as single stream recycling. The park is surrounded by stunning views and offers plenty of trails for walking, hiking, biking, and nearby off roading. It is also close to city amenities, with a Walmart Super Center and other shopping right across the street. Wildlife such as roadrunners, prairie dogs, and coyotes can be seen in the area, and the park is known for its incredible flower bloom when it rains. The campground is quiet during the day and night, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations are a must in the cooler season, and Verizon and ATT cell service is available. There is also a camp store and immaculate restrooms and showers.

Catalina State Park is a scenic desert park located at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, just minutes from the Tucson metropolitan area. The park offers 120 campsites with electric and water hookups, as well as miles of equestrian, birding, hiking, and biking trails which wind through the park and into the Coronado National Forest at elevations near 3,000 feet. The park is a haven for desert plants and wildlife, with nearly 5,000 saguaros and over 150 species of birds calling the park home. Visitors can also enjoy the Music in the Mountains Concert Series and other events throughout the year.
