Gilbert Ray Campground is a great spot for exploring the beautiful Arizona-Sonoran Desert and Saguaro National Park. Located just northwest of Tucson, this public campground is surrounded by majestic saguaro cacti and desert shrubs and trees, providing ample privacy between sites. It does not take reservations, but if you arrive by 8am you will likely get a spot. The campground offers 30 amp electric hookups, but no showers. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails, and the nearby Sonora Desert Museum and Tucson Mountain Park are a must-see. Enjoy the stunning sunsets, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning desert views.

RV campers should access the park by way of Ajo Highway to Kinney Road and follow the signs to the campground.
