Visitors to the Tra-Tel RV campground found the grounds well maintained, the staff friendly, and the rates reasonable. Unfortunately, the park recently transferred ownership and is not open for the 2023 season. The Prince of Tucson, located across the street, was not desirable due to its proximity to the interstate and small sites. Visitors experienced difficulty finding an alternative park due to age restrictions, and the few other parks were booked. The experience at the park was mostly positive, with friendly staff, a pet area, and a nearby wildlife viewing park. However, the pool was not inviting, there was construction and a deranged person in the park, and the power was inadequate. Access to a bike trail and the Tucson Mall were positive features, but the heat and dust were a concern. The staff was very friendly, and a package was delivered to the trailer late in the day. The power improved when the visitors were moved to a 50A site, but the layout of the spaces was odd. Children were running freely around the park and people were not cleaning up after their pets. The construction through Tucson affects access to the park, and a discount is available for Escapees, Passport America, and Happy Camper members.
