Colossal Cave Mountain Park is an affordable, quiet campground located in Arizona. The campground is in need of maintenance and the roads are in poor condition, but the property manager/caretaker (Gary) is friendly and helpful. El Bosquecito is a group campground that is perfect for those who dont mind carrying their gear in. Unfortunately, the petting zoo, tortoises, and butterfly garden are not available. However, the campground does have bathrooms, hand washing stations, trash cans, BBQ stands, and picnic tables. The park is dry camping and is suitable for small trailers and vans. There is an overflow parking area for larger rigs, but drivers must be careful to avoid the potholes. For only $7 a night, campers can enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by nature and take part in the many hikes available on the Arizona Trail.
