The staff at check-in is pleasant, and the location is very close to the downtown area of Old Wickenburg. However, the entrance to the park is difficult to see and dangerous with two small entrances down a steep grade and small signs leading to the office. Once at the office, there is a hill with no path or signage, which can be challenging for those with mobility issues. Additionally, the exit to the highway by a steep incline and bad visibility onto a four-lane highway could be risky, especially if you have to cross the traffic. The highways noise and trains are also close, and some campsites are cramped and narrow, making it challenging to set up chairs and awnings. Several reviewers found the price too high for what they got, and a few others recounted a troublesome experience regarding their reservations.

The park offers large RV spaces and is within walking distance of downtown Wickenburg, where visitors can explore shops, restaurants, and the finest western museum in Arizona. The park is also located in the center of hundreds of miles of desert trails for ATV and side-by-side exploration. The facilities are sparkling clean and the staff goes out of their way to make visitors feel at home.
