What others are saying about this campground
Homolovi State Park is a great place to stop and enjoy the dark night sky, explore the ruins of the Native Americans, and visit the nearby towns of Winslow and Standin on the Corner. This campground boasts dark skies, making it an ideal spot for stargazing, as well as biking and walking trails, a Visitor Center with an observatory open to the public one night a month, and easy access from I-40. There are 42 sites with electric and water hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, as well as a dump station. The campground is conveniently located near Winslow and Standin on the Corner, Meteor Crater, and Petrified Forest National Park. There are also 3 sites of Native American ruins to explore. The campground is well-maintained, but the showers need repairs and the restrooms could use a good cleaning. The Verizon signal is strong, and there is no wifi or OTA stations, but ATT cell signal is good. The sites are large, level, and spacious, with easy in and out, but the water and electric are on the opposite side of the pull-throughs, making hookups a little inconvenient. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the campground is a great place to stay for a few days to explore the area.

From The Campground
Homolovi State Park offers high-desert camping on the Little Colorado. Most sites have electric hookups and water. The campground includes both back-in and pull-through sites which can handle large rigs. Pull-through sites have both 30 amp and 50 amp hookups. Ten sites have tent pads. Camping is limited to 14 nights. The campground fee includes the use of all of the park's day-use recreation areas, plus use of the showers and dump station. Homolovi State Park now serves as a center of research for the late migration period of the Hopi from the 1200s to the late 1300s. While archaeologists study the sites and confer with the Hopi to unravel the history of Homolovi, Arizona State Parks provides the opportunity for visitors to visit the sites and use park facilities including a visitor center and museum, various trails and a campground. Several covered picnic tables are located throughout the park. Pullouts provide the opportunity to observe wildlife in this park of over 4,000 acres at an elevation of 4,900 feet.
