Blue Lake Campground is located in Modoc National Forest and offers camping for tents, trailers, and motorhomes. The campground has vault toilets, piped water, and a day use area with picnic tables near the boat ramp. Some campsites and restrooms are accessible with assistance. Fishing is available at Blue Lake, which is stocked with trout and has a fishing platform accessible with assistance. A 3-mile loop trail around the lake offers hiking opportunities with alternating sunlight and shade. The trail is close to the shoreline and would be considered a simple trail to hike. Wildlife viewing is also popular at Blue Lake, which is Number 11 on the Basin & Range Birding Trail. Bald Eagles have been seen around the lake as well.
