From The Campground

Jane's Reservoir Campground is located in Modoc National Forest, about 30 miles north of Alturas along Crowder Flat Road. The campground is known for its beauty and solitude, and it circles the southeastern section of the lake. There are two areas for camping, both equipped with a vault toilet, but no drinking water is supplied. The campground is open from mid-May to late October, and all sites are first come, first served. There is no fee for camping. Dogs must be on a leash, and the camping limit is 14 days. The closest town is Alturas, 32 miles away.
