What others are saying about this campground
Golden Pines Campground is a peaceful, wooded campground located near Big Trees State Park and the town of Dorrington. It offers full hookups (water, power, sewer, cable TV, and wifi) for RVs and trailers, as well as some permanent and seasonal sites. The sites are spaced well and have a picnic table and fire pit. The campground has a communal fire pit in the center, a small playground, basketball hoop, volleyball net, and a kitchen/lodge for group parties. The campground is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in the area, including lakes, kayaking, swimming, canoes, rafts, hiking, golfing, and sightseeing. The campground is a bit dusty, and there is a lot of pine sap on the ground, so it can be difficult to keep clean. There are also some wasp traps that need to be maintained. The restrooms and showers could also use updating. Despite these drawbacks, Golden Pines is a great place to stay if you have an RV or 5th wheel and want to explore the area.
