What others are saying about this campground
The campground host was very friendly and helpful. The Airplane Museum RV Park is a no-frills campground located on the grounds of the former Castle Air Force Base. It offers full hook-ups with 50 amp service, water and sewer hookups, and ample car parking. Guests have the option of dry camping as well. The campground is conveniently located near the town, the Castle Air Museum, and grocery stores, making it a great home base when taking a day trip to Yosemite or other points of interest. With a stay at the RV Park, guests receive one free ticket to the adjacent Air Museum, which features a collection of military planes from WWII to the end of the 20th century. There is a large grassy area behind the camp sites for pets to run, and occasionally the distant sound of a train horn can be heard. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful, and they can provide suggestions for excellent restaurants and bakeries nearby. Reservations must be made by phone with the campground host, and guests should be aware that there is no wifi, cable, or restrooms/showers available.
