Harford Warf Campground is a great spot for RV camping, offering spacious, dry camping spots with unbeatable views of San Luis Harbor. The campground is located near the entrance of the Diablo Canyon power plant, so expect high traffic during shift changes. The campground is also close to the wharf, which is home to a great seafood market and Merseas restaurant. There are 8 spots with hookups in a paved parking lot, and dry camping spots directly in front of the power plant entrance. The beach is beautiful and clean, and a short walk away is a dog beach. There are public bathrooms, showers ($2), and laundry facilities ($2 wash). The campground is a great spot for biking and walking, and in the late afternoon you can spot sea otters busting shells on their bellies in the kelp beds. The campground is on a first come, first served basis, so plan on plenty of traffic all day long.

From The Campground

Avila Beach RV Resort is a beautiful campground located in Avila Beach, California. The campground offers RV camping and trailer boat camping. The campsites must be physically occupied a minimum of 1 hour out of every 24 hour period, subject to cancellation. The campground has strict rules and regulations, including quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, and no excessive noise is allowed. Pets must be kept on a leash or in a contained area. The campground prohibits the use of wood or charcoal BBQ’s, but propane or gas BBQ’s and fire pits with active on/off controls are allowed. The campground offers a 14-day maximum stay on any sites located on District property. Reservations are for personal use only, and any resale, transfer, use for profit activity, or gifting of reservations and/or camp sites is strictly prohibited and may be cause for immediate cancellation without notice, refund, or reimbursement. The campground does not allow outside vendor delivery or set-ups of RV’s, Camping Trailers, BBQ’s, tables, chairs, etc., and is subject to citation.
