Desert Palms RV Resort is a convenient and clean campground located off Highway 58. The sites are long and level concrete pads, with stone patios and picnic tables. The park is pet friendly and has a pool, hot tub, and restaurant. Passport America members can enjoy a discounted rate of $20. However, the park is located close to a very busy railroad track, so there is constant noise from the freight trains and Edison Highway. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the area can be a bit sketchy and there are a lot of stray cats. The long term sites can be cluttered and unkempt, and the junky, surly long term renters can create a bad environment. Despite this, the park is a good place for an overnight stop and offers decent amenities for the price.
