GenieSummary
Its a great spot to stop for a night or two and explore the area. The sites are large and grassy, and the views of the ocean and coastal hills are spectacular. There is a beach access path across the highway, and a creek running through the campground. The downside is that the campground is old, and the roads and sites are in need of repair. There are no hook-ups, and the water supply is suspect, so its best to bring your own. This campground is located off of California Highway 1 and is a great place to stay for a night or two. It is an old campground, so sites are large but can be a tight fit for anything over 25 length. It is surrounded by beautiful coastal views and is located in a remote and nearly inaccessible part of the California coast. The park has not been maintained since it was built, likely in the 1960s, and the interior roads have large potholes and crumbling edges. The water supply is suspect, so it is advised to bring your own. The campground is surrounded by poison oak and the host has a strict no check-in prior to 3pm policy. There is a staircase down to the beach access and no hook-ups or dump stations. The camp host will sell firewood for $15 and five gallons of water for $5. The campground is quiet during the week but can get noisier on weekends. It is a great spot to explore the area and take in the views of the ocean and coastal hills.
