With its serene setting, lush cottonwood trees, and spectacular views of the Eastern Sierra, this campground offers a unique and peaceful experience. Enjoy the hot springs pool, which is kept at a perfect temperature with a spray system mixture of hot spring water and cold water and is drained and filled weekly. There is also a hot spring creek that runs through the resort and goes to an area outside the park about 1/2 mile away, where the public can soak for free. For those looking for a bit of adventure, there is a desert garden walk and an old dilapidated building of the original hot spring site. The hours are not great if you’re looking for an early morning or late evening soak, and the springs and pool are closed one day a week, so be sure to check before you arrive if you want to take advantage of them.
