Mayflower Country Park is a scenic, peaceful campground located on the Colorado River in Blythe, CA. It is a great spot for snowbirds to stay in the winter months, with a monthly rate of $275 which includes electricity, water, thrice weekly honey wagon service, free Wi-Fi, and limited antenna TV. The park consists of gravel roads with a fair amount of grass areas, and is full of trees and somewhat-dead but often-watered lawns. The sites are close together, but folks seem to enjoy all the socializing with their neighbors. It is a great spot for kids and dogs, with a small sandy beach at the north end of the park and a community dump site as you leave. There is a boat launch area and massive day use space, as well as lawn bowling and other group activities. Verizon, AT&T and Sprint all have weak coverage for data and phone at this park. It is a great place for RC plane flying, birdwatching, and enjoying the incredible views of the mountains and the Colorado River.
