What others are saying about this campground
Miwok Campground is a great spot for beachside camping. Located on a two mile stretch of beach, with a bay on the other side, this campground offers a unique and beautiful view of the ocean. Its popular among kite boarders, and there are plenty of picnic areas and sheltered tables to enjoy if the wind picks up. The beach is wide, flat, and great for families, and the first Saturday of the month the rangers do a tide pool talk. The campground is best suited for RVs, as there is little to no shelter for tents. There are coin operated showers and flushable toilets, and restaurants and bars are about a 10 to 15 minute drive away. The best campsites are near Cove Camp, where you can enjoy the stunning views and the sound of the waves.

From The Campground
Doran Regional Park is a beautiful beachfront campground located in Bodega Bay, California. The park offers a variety of amenities including flush toilets, coin-operated showers, electrical outlets, and an ADA-accessible boardwalk with benches and viewing areas. Dogs on leash are allowed with a fee, and all-terrain wheelchairs are available for free use on a first-come, first-served basis. The park also features a 1.3-mile trail through grassy dunes, a 1-mile stretch of beach for horses, and the Cheney Creek Trail which connects to Birdwalk Coastal Access Trail. The park has a rich history dating back to the 1770s and is home to the U.S. Coast Guard Station Bodega Bay. Visitors can also help protect the threatened western snowy plover by giving them a wide berth and properly disposing of all garbage.
