GenieSummary
Annetts Mono Village is a private campground located at the end of Twin Lake Road in the Eastern Sierras. It is nestled between the mountains and Upper Twin Lake, surrounded by large pine trees, and offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The campground is chaotic in layout, with narrow, silty, and uneven dirt roads winding through the sites. It is tight quarters, and the sites are often messy and unkempt looking. There are no reservations taken, and lots of dry camping sites, but it is difficult to get a full hookup site due to the squatters that wait to take the next available one when someone pulls out. There is a market, boat rentals, restaurant, and gift shop on site, as well as a laundry and showers. The marina is large and has various size boat rentals at reasonable rates. There are also a lot of water faucets to fill your fresh tank, and a pump out unit that drives around on Tuesdays and Thursdays to empty your holding tanks for a fee. The staff is mostly made up of campers who work at the park in exchange for a site, and have been known to be rude and unhelpful. There is no cell phone reception at the campground, and the wifi only reaches the lower sections and costs $8 a day. There is no playground, so it may not be the best place for younger kids. However, the fishing is great and there are many hiking trails, so it is a great place for those who enjoy nature and outdoor activities.
