What others are saying about this campground
Malibu Creek State Park is a great campground for late fall through early spring, when the creek is full. It is conveniently located near Los Angeles and has been the backdrop for many movies and TV series, including Anchorman. The campsites are spacious and have fire pits, and the bathrooms are clean, though you will need to bring your own hand soap. There are some decent hiking trails, but the creeks are usually dry in the summer. The campground is well maintained and landscaped, and there is a large grassy lawn in the middle of the loops for group activities. Dogs are not allowed in the park. The campground is a bit expensive at $45 per night, and the sites are close together. There is a gate that closes at 10pm, and a ranger regularly patrols the area. Showers are available, but they are cold and hot water costs a few tokens.
