The sites are very close together, but we were able to get our 30 trailer in without a problem. The cable was spotty but the wifi was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The park is located in a beautiful canyon with plenty of trees and a river running through it. It is close to Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove, and the 17 mile drive. The sites are level and the hookups are good. The only downside is the narrow road to get to the campground. It is a one lane road with a few tight turns and low tree branches. If you have a big rig, you may want to look elsewhere. Carmel by the River is a beautifully landscaped RV campground located in a canyon near Carmel, Monterey, and Pacific Grove. It is small enough to not feel like a city and big enough for Class A motor homes. The sites are close together, but the privacy hedges between them provide a sense of seclusion. The roads to the campground are narrow and winding, but can be navigated with care. The campground offers full hookups, good wifi, and a well-maintained game room with a TV, pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, and a stocked game cabinet. The campground is close to Garland Ranch Regional Park, Carmel Valley Village, and Pebble Beach, and is a great place to stay for a few days while exploring the area. The price is a bit high, but the staff is friendly and helpful. Be aware that the road to the campground is narrow and the sites are shallow, so larger rigs may have difficulty maneuvering.
