Saddle Mountain Campground is a beautiful, secluded spot nestled in the Carmel Valley hills. Enjoy stunning views from the terraced platforms, and take a hike out of the campground for a cardio workout with a reward of breathtaking views. The pool is well maintained, and the surrounding deck offers wifi. The campground is close to wonderful restaurants and shopping, as well as Monterey and the beaches. There are cabins and camping sites, although they are a little close together. Fire pits are available with duraflame logs, and the communal fire pits/couches are great for socializing or sharing an outdoor dinner. The staff is friendly, and the campground is clean. However, beware of poison oak outside of the paved areas, and be aware that the roads leading to the resort are narrow and one-lane. RVs and travel trailers should take caution, and be aware of the 11 foot tall tree near the office. There is a playground and other activities to keep kids occupied, and the campground is close to Big Sur, Carmel, and Monterey.
