What others are saying about this campground
Chino Hills State Park is a great place for a quick getaway from the city. The campground is situated in a valley at the back of the park, so you cant see any neighborhoods or hear the traffic. There are 24 spots with large enough for 8 person tents, BBQs, picnic tables, hook poles for lanterns, and dumpsters for trash. There are flush toilets and free showers, but limited shade, so it can get hot in the summer. The park entrance is by a narrow, one lane washboard road, and there are plenty of hiking trails that leave from the campground. The only cell service is on top of the closest hill. PET OWNERS BEWARE: Our dog munched on a frog at this campsite and started foaming at the mouth. We rinsed her mouth out with water and she turned out fine, but a smaller dog or a swallowed frog and she could have died from toxicity.
